
Scott Jacobson, CFA
Scott Jacobson is a Portfolio Manager running volatility strategies for Monashee Investment Management, LLC.
Prior to joining Monashee, Mr. Jacobson ran volatility and overlay strategies and led investment strategy for Hirtle, Callaghan & Co. Before Hirtle, Mr. Jacobson ran absolute return strategies in proprietary accounts and at hedge funds. Previously, Mr. Jacobson was the Head of Derivative Strategy at Sanford C. Bernstein, where he managed the sector specialist team and published macro and multi-asset class volatility research. Prior to Bernstein, Mr. Jacobson was head of research at Capstone Global Markets, a derivative boutique specializing in volatility across global asset classes. For more than ten years, Mr. Jacobson was a proprietary trader managing long/short portfolios and arbitrage strategies for Jefferies and Cargill Financial.
Mr. Jacobson earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and graduated summa cum laude with BS and BBA degrees in computer science and accounting from the University of North Dakota. Scott is an active CFA charterholder and a licensed Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
